Edith Ballantyne, a centenarian pioneer of peace activism, looks back on a life dedicated to peace and wants to pass on her experiences before her voice is silenced forever. She fled from the Sudetenland to Canada to escape the Nazis, and lived as a refugee under difficult conditions. With the support of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), she found a perspective and later her calling. Through her close cooperation with the United Nations, her commitment to nuclear disarmament, her consistent integration of feminist perspectives and her establishment of global networks, she continues to inspire people around the world to this day.
