Jason Box is one of the world’s most acclaimed and most cited climate scientists – we all remember him and his yoga session on ice in the multi-award winning 2022 doc INTO THE ICE. After 25 years of research on the Greenland ice sheet, he has enough of theory and decides to take action himself. He sets out to plant trees along the ice sheet with the assistance of Greenlanders and volunteers. Even though no trees have grown there before, global warming now makes it possible. Lead by Jason Box´ charismatic storytelling, the film is set in the tension between environmental and sociopolitical issues, in a place where dreams meet reality and the past reflects the future.
